A home that lives with you, not around you.
Inspired by the soul of traditional Indian homes, Curlicue bends gently into the present.
It’s a home where air flows like thought, water speaks softly at the center, and light plays silently across the day.
No air conditioning. No noise. Just design that listens — to the people, to the season, to the earth.
Here, touch has temperature. Stillness has movement.
And space becomes an experience, not a structure.
The design centers around a courtyard, open to the sky, bringing in light, ventilation, and a serene ambiance. A water body with fountains enhances cooling and connects the living, dining, and kitchen spaces via a stepping pathway.
The curved elevation, resembling stacked organic forms, seamlessly extends from the interiors while acting as a wind funnel, channeling cool summer breezes into the living and bedroom spaces. The courtyard’s stack effect further aids in passive cooling, reducing the need for air conditioning.
The east-facing open kitchen allows morning sunlight and cross-ventilation, while foldable metal sliders in balconies offer security, privacy, and airflow. Rajasthani-inspired dining features low seating for a cultural touch.
A semi-basement accommodates an office, servant quarters, parking, and garden, optimizing space usage.
Built with AAC blocks, the home remains climatically comfortable year-round. By integrating passive cooling, vernacular design elements, and modern aesthetics, this house offers a sustainable and elegant living experience.
